Hi, thank you for visiting our space, my name is Lynsey and I am passionate to support women to thrive through coaching, education, and shared lived experience. I live with my husband and daughter in the Lake District in Cumbria.
I have spent the majority of my professional life working in mental health and emotional wellbeing for a leading Mental Health Charity. Through my role I provide dedicated one-one support to individuals, using my training, experience, and skills. Including using solution-focused coaching to help others.
Before I was 40, I was unexpectedly diagnosed with Early Menopause, I found myself at yet another transitional moment in my life.
The picture of me above was taken a few weeks after this diagnosis, it certainly doesn't tell the full story! As old familiar feelings of anxiety and uncertainty returned this "trigger moment" in my life caused me to reflect and draw on the number of other triggers followed by transitional moments in my life and how I had negotiated my way through these.
Over the past few years, my work and my personal life have inspired me to research "trigger moments" in women’s lives and how women approach these. Recognising that these moments also create opportunities for positive transitions. However, I witness and have often heard that these moments had resulted in negative effects on women's emotional and physical wellbeing, and the lack of support for women compounded these feelings.
I considered how I had applied my professional skills and experience, especially over the past 12 years working in the field of mental health and wellbeing to help others navigate and develop in transitional moments in their lives. I recognised that the common thread in these moments and those of other women's lives had been moved forward through a partnership of individualised, non-judgmental, one-to-one support and coaching techniques.
I decided to begin on the exciting but nerve-racking process of Dandelion Coaching and here we are today.
With my experience in training and service development, I have created the Menopause and Peri-Menopause Masterclasses, to ensure other women aren't left in the same place I was.
I want to share my coaching practice and Menopause training and its possibilities with you because of what it has meant for me and many others.
